Germocid powder is a cold sterilizer disinfectant: the peracetic acid which forms from the reaction of hydrogen peroxide (which is obtained after dissolving the product into water) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) carries out an efficacious biocide action toward spores, virus (HIV, HBV, HCV), bacteria, mycobacteria and fungi.
At the concentration of 1.6% it carries out sterilization in 10 minutes. The product is active in 15 minutes from dissolution, solution remains active for a maximum time of 24 hours.

Germocid powder is suitable for:

• a cold rapid sterilization and/or disinfection of endoscopes
• optical fibres, surgical and dental instruments
• transducer, etc.

It can be used also with automatic washing machines for endoscopes. No environmental impact: once in contact with discharge water, it degrades immediately into acetic acid, water, oxygen.
In compliance with the D. M. dated 28 September 1990 in case of presence of infected material it is necessary to sterilize the product before deterging.
