The single-use FlowMir^® turbines from MIR with integrated mouthpiece are designed for single-patient use in respiratory functionality tests. Each turbine is individually packaged to ensure hygiene and reduce the risk of contamination between patients.

Clinical and Operational Advantages

Designed to be economical and easy to use, the single-use turbines do not require calibration and can be quickly replaced between patients. The use of single-use turbines helps to avoid or reduce the use of antibacterial filters in contexts where a full exchange of the transducer is preferred for hygiene reasons.

The disposable turbine is unaffected by environmental conditions of temperature, humidity, and pressure and is compliant with strict ERS/ATS accuracy standards. Hygiene is guaranteed 100%, therefore superior to the best antibacterial filters on the market. Indeed, once the spirometry is completed, the turbine is disposed of along with the mouthpiece, leaving no transducer or other component in contact with the patient.
