General information

Hemo Control is a portable analyzer designed for the rapid and precise determination of hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (Hct) in whole blood. It integrates two tests in a single compact device suitable for hospital environments, outpatient clinics, and professional home use under clinical responsibility.

Advantages and Strengths

The device provides results in 25–60 seconds utilizing a minimal sample of 8 µl (capillary, venous, or arterial). The photometric method based on methemoglobin guarantees high precision (<2%) and documented linearity. It does not require routine calibration due to the automatic self-test, making it easy to use even in settings with non-laboratory staff.

Scope of Use

Indications: rapid screenings, perioperative monitoring, emergency medicine, preliminary pre-transfusion checks, general practice clinics, and home healthcare services. It does not replace central clinical laboratory investigations but serves as a point-of-care tool for immediate clinical decisions.

It supports storage of up to 4,000 readings with date and time and features a multilingual touch-screen interface for intuitive use. The rechargeable internal battery has a lifespan of approximately 100 hours, ensuring extended operation away from the power grid.
