General information

Sterile cotton gauze swabs, folded in multiple overlapping layers, with cut edges turned inward and free of fraying, and re-edged with an additional folding of the edges inward in the American style (american fold); the folding allows for use with maximum opening “like a tape”, ensuring maximum safety during use.

Radiopaque barium thread woven (intertwined) into the fabric of the gauze, along one side of the compress.

Supplied in a dispenser of 30 sterile packs, each containing 5 compresses.

• 100% cotton, compliant with D.L. 194 of 22.05.1999 and subsequent amendments – compliant with UNI EN 14079:2004
• Tit. 10/7 - type 17 corresponding to current F.U., latest edition and subsequent updates.
• Pure American Yarn 1st - color bright white anti-reflective - weight per sqm. g. 27

Radiopaque barium thread (woven into the fabric of the gauze):
• Textile Type - concentration ≥ 60% BaSO4 (Barium Sulfate) - 4 twisted viscose threads - blue pigments
• Bleaching resistance (without loss of BaSO4)
• Biologically tested
• Unaffected by organic liquids and sterilization processes
• Maximum sterilization resistance: steam from 130 to 150°C
• Latex-free

Intended Use:
• Class IIa medical device
• Compliant with Directives 93/42 and 2007/47 EEC and D.L. 46/1997 and 37/2010 and subsequent amendments.
• Temporary or short-term surgical invasive device.
• Can be used to control the microenvironment of a wound.
